Institutional context and normative framework. a) Apellate review of criminal convenctions, b) Error of law, c) Trial by jury, d) Precedent, law and fact. 3. Enduring epistemic challenges (science, experts and forensic proof). a) Medical evidence in forensic context, b) Scientific uncertainty and disagreement between experts, c) Conflicts of experts authority and witness credibility. Conclusion: doing justice to expert evidence and scientific proof
